Elizabeth Stockton is an Atlanta native who specializes in contemporary oil paintings. She studied Art and Design at the University of Georgia. Stockton's visual inspiration comes from her fascination with the relationship between language, graphics, minimalism, color interaction, typography, and mark making. She is particularly enamored with the abstract expressionist painters that flourished in New York City after World War II who were sometimes referred to as the New York School.
